Michael Brown: Obama Wanted Oil Spill - Video

Past FEMA Director Michael Brown.
Bush FEMA Director, Michael Brown, accused President Barrack H. Obama Monday of intentionally delaying governmental assistance to The United States Coast Guard in handling the recent Gulf Coast Oil spill. Thus, worsening the disaster for reasons of turning the public tide against offshore drilling efforts.

Ex-FEMA Director Brown [remembered for his poor showing during Hurricane Katrina] explained to Neil Cavuto that President Obama was never truly in favor of offshore drilling in the first place and was thrilled by the current environmental dilemma. According to Brown, "This is exactly what they want, because now he can pander to the environmentalists and say, 'I'm gonna shut it down because it's too dangerous.'" He then went on to say, "This president has never supported big oil, he's never supported offshore drilling, and now he has an excuse to shut it back down.

Although such allegations seem quite feasible, considering Barrack H. Obama's political positions on an entire slew of closely related political issues, this high profile statement - coming from the past FEMA Director is simply astonishing - for its candor. Of course, we can expect fairly rapid denials on the part of Obama... but, the political damage has already been done. In the minds of many Americans, some things just make political sense - when honestly reviewing the evidence.

And yet, what should we learn from such enormous ecological disasters? Should we ban the necessary production of oil... or, should we more properly utilize our world's resources - while simultaneously employing the already existent safety mechanisms available today? You see, this environmentally destructive occurrence need never have actually occurred! Several available technologies for the prevention of such massive spills are already in use.

Numerous Offshore Wells are now being drilled with remote underwater cutoff mechanisms - attached to the necessary piping - as it exits the sea floor. Moreover, such Emergency Shut-Offs, can be quickly and easily mandated by our statutory laws - being properly passed through Congress - without governmental involvement, or Fascist and Bureaucratic Regulation. Such accidents - in the future - could constitute the commission of a felonious crime and be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Meanwhile, since Corporations are now considered "Persons," they can be held accountable to the full extent of these laws - by their Lawful Executions, under the Politically-given charters which essentially give them their lives. Thus, ending "The Double Standards" - by which they may effectively operate - abridging our own Sovereign Laws. And, since the unobservant stockholders are obviously negligent in their own duties, any profits realized by these asset seizures and/or sales would be applied toward public reimbursement for the cleanup and other much-needed punitive damages.

Some might declare this scenario as taking too hard a line Politically and Economically - but, is it? When drilling for oil means "Life or Death" for our planet either: from ecological disaster or [equally] from the destruction of our necessary civilization - then the stakes are honestly enormous! Perhaps, we should treat it that way. Our Massive International Corporations must operate under these very same responsible rules. We reward them well for doing much societal good, and we must punish them severely when they do a commensurate amount of planetary and/or societal damage.

  1. Once again the people are forced into sitting through a smoke and mirrors show as the focus of an issue gets redirected by the same old us versus them BS.

This "theory" is based on what a has-been, Bush FEMA director thinks could be behind the delay in jumping into what will amount to yet another pin the tail on the taxpayer, big business bailout. What more is there to say?

  2. Sure, anti domestic oil interests will capitalize on this, what may turn out to be the biggest ecological disaster in US history, and for good reason. But I wouldn't give credence to anything coming out of Brown's mouth.

If you want to focus on real conspiracies then maybe you should look at other interests. For instance, who has an in-depth knowledge of the drilling industry while also having super high stakes in turning legislative and consumer sentiment against any increase in oil production? Who has literally billions of dollars and a legacy in the making at stake? Who was spinning his wheels trying to get traction with his self promoting energy plan and going nowhere fast? Why Mr. Pickens of course. Maybe he...
