Plantation System, Company-Store, Or Modern Corporation: The Un-Ending Adaptation Of Economic Slavery Systems

Whether we examine: The Plantation, Company-Store, or Modern Corporations - we will find that all three of these systems are fundamental economic structures designed to mitigate the moral and ethical requirements, in the area of paying humans, for their true costs of labor. Whereas, The Plantation System was a blatantly egregious, and obvious, incarnation of unwarranted economic servitude - The Company-Store System offered a certain quaint measure of respectability when looked at [merely] upon the surface, by outsiders. One did not readily see the mechanisms whereby the workers were truly and thoroughly enslaved. Thus, it flourished much longer!

However, the movement by Americans to unionize and collectively bargain - which began in the late 1800's - foreshadowed the end of a very abusive political era. Companies could no longer directly enslave their workers through monopolizing the communities and social institutions around them - for long. The people had finally figured out their playbook of strategies and something far more clever was sorely needed. That solution was provided in [the form of] "The Modern Corporation...."

The American Dream - Or A Self-Deceptive Hallucination

When I was a child - in the late 1960's and the early 1970's - America was at it's: political, industrial, and economic zenith. Nowhere on Earth, were: the buildings taller, the living standards higher, or the rules by which people must extensively operate in society any easier. In those days, being born an American, offered certain societal advantages and privileges - which nowhere [else] upon Earth could be found! Thus, many of us took a certain rightfully-excessive pride in our Nation.

We were the unopposed world leader in: heavy industry, technology, medicine, and commerce! Almost half of all new inventions were American made... our products were being shipped to every corner of the globe... and our managers and executives were sought after from Tokyo to Moscow. Executives from across our planet, toured our: military bases, factories, and farms - taking notes everywhere they went - to learn new and more productive ideas from the unique American style of conducting "The Business of business."

Free Trade: A Tool For One World Government

Back in the 70's and 80's, the issue of the day was Free Trade .... It was being touted - on every college campus across our nation - as the greatest possible solution for an economically ailing world economy... and millions of us bought into this Macro-Economic lie! After all, the numerous and very simplistic examples always assumed an ongoing trade among politically equal countries or states. Meanwhile, for those of us whose inquisitive minds naturally delved deeper, the unspoken assumption was - that our leaders, fully intended to use this new adoptive trade mechanism, to facilitate an increase of Capitalism and Freedom worldwide.

However, there was one other scenario that we never [honestly] entertained or considered.... That being, to intentionally crash the worldwide economic system using Keynesian Economics... in their ongoing effort, to reboot it - under "A One World Governmental System." Such thoughts were conceivably preposterous to most of us... after all, the amount of human tragedy and suffering potentially involved, would preclude any reasonably sane individuals from even considering it! Personally, I - like many others - was [most obviously] quite naive.

The Causes Of The American Civil War

Contrary to popular myth and modern opinion, The American Civil War was never about Slavery! Perhaps, the most well informed, well documented, and well written document ever published upon this subject was penned by Patrick J. Buchanan on February 12th 2009. Although, the dividing issues were over matters of Trade, the underlying principles were that of: State Sovereignty, At Will Solidarity [In A Union], and States Rights!

Just as our laws make it illegal to smash someone's knees or to kill them for leaving, "A [voluntary] Worker's Union Membership..." Sovereign States, or Countries, have a Lawful Right to leave All Unions At Will - if they are inherently oppressive! In fact, that was the very basis for the original Declaration Of Independence in 1776... Was It Not? Where, then, is the "Right Of Ascension" - for, any created political body, to ignore "The Consensual Act Of Any Human Being [Or Entity] To Peaceably Walking Away From An Argument?"

Political Candor On The Issue Of Abortion

There is little doubt that, for many Americans [myself included], Abortion is a negative consequence of our ongoing human society, murder of the unborn, and a crime – which is perpetrated daily, on a truly massive scale. It is, however, not the biggest problem currently confronting our society, the ones still living, or even our long-term future on this planet! In the hopes of gathering support for the more far reaching and pivotal issues  - which we must [obviously] confront and face – I would honestly direct your attentions elsewhere in the political interim!

Nothing we can ever say will: bring even one taken-life back, ameliorate the grief on both sides of this issue, or solve our current societal crisis on that matter. As much as, we might hope otherwise, we are deadlocked over this matter! Thus, in the spirit of our ancestors who deadlocked over issues of Free Trade, Institutionalized Slavery, and Societal Discrimination [for a time]; we must first address the reparable issues of our day.
